In a relaxed atmosphere …
… amidst the lovely old town
The town of Wernigerode is widely known beyond its borders and is located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains. Magnificent half-timbered houses, the oldest dating back to 1400, the Town Hall and its historic market square, a treasure of medieval architecture. High above the town stands the Wernigerode Castle, offering a magnificent view of the Harz landscape towards the Brocken. A ride on the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway to mount Brocken at 1,142 meters, the highest peak in the Harz, is an unforgettable experience for young and old.
Amidst this lovely old town, just 100 meters from the Market Square, is the Harzer Kultur- & Kongresshotel Wernigerode. Our hotel location allows you to completely relax and makes it easy to explore the city on foot. The Harz also offers a colourful variety of experiences, such as three World Heritage sites; Hildesheim, Quedlinburg and the Rammelsberg mine in Goslar await your visit. Discover the National Park and mount Brocken accompanied by a National Park ranger, or hike on the Witches Trail (Hexenstieg).
Treat yourself to a short break and look forward to a few carefree days – we look forward to welcoming you!
